Course Objectives The aim of this course is to make the students watch the children’s physical, psycho-motor and cognitive development and use assessment and evaluation instruments to evaluate child development.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Define development
  • Explain the factors affecting development
  • Use the research methods of child development
  • Correlate development theories with development properties
  • Watch child’s physical, kinetic and cognitive development processes
  • Explain properties of development of the child according to ages.
  • Will be practise basic subjects related to babycare and childcare.
Course Description This course contains; different perspectives on child development , factors affecting development , research methods in developmental psychology , fundamental concepts and principles of development, theories of development, physical development, psycho-motor development, cognitive development , key issues related to child and infant care, developmental characteristics of children related to age.
